Rawalpindi, May 19, 2025: In a series of intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces eliminated nine terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al-Khawarij, an Indian-sponsored proxy network, over May 17–18, the military’s media wing reported on Monday.

The largest engagement occurred in Lakki Marwat, where troops, acting on confirmed intelligence, raided a suspected terrorist hideout and killed five militants in a swift and precise strike.

In a separate operation in Bannu District, two more terrorists were neutralized during a similar intelligence-driven action.

Later, in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, terrorists ambushed a convoy of security forces. Troops swiftly retaliated, killing two attackers on the spot. However, the exchange came at a cost, as Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi (29, Kurram) and Lance Naik Sabir Afridi (32, Kohat) embraced shahadat while fighting gallantly.

Sanitization operations are ongoing across all three locations to eliminate any remaining threats.

The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s commitment to rooting out Indian-backed terrorism and vowed that the blood of its brave martyrs would only strengthen national resolve to ensure peace and stability across the country.
