Lahore, September 20,2024-The district administration of Lahore has granted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) permission to hold a rally on the Ring Road in Kahana under strict conditions. One of the conditions is that The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, will need to apologize for his harsh remarks made during the rally on September 8.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court had directed the Deputy Commissioner to decide on the PTI’s application for a rally by 5 PM today. The district administration has now approved the rally for PTI tomorrow.

It is noteworthy that there were earlier reports of permission for a rally at Jallo Park. The district administration has granted PTI permission to hold the rally under 43 conditions, and the Deputy Commissioner has issued a notification for the rally. According to the notification, the PTI rally will take place on September 21 from 3 PM to 6 PM and the responsibility for security at the rally will fall on the organizers.

On the other hand, while speaking to the media, PTI leader Ishtiaq A. Khan stated that they cannot take responsibility for Ali Amin’s actions; it is up to him whether he wants to apologize. He will speak as he sees fit. Meanwhile, a meeting took place between the Deputy Commissioner and Opposition Leader Ahmad Khan Bacher. Sources indicate that the opposition leader has proposed to end the rally by 11 PM. It is worth mentioning that PTI had announced a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan.
