Sydney, June 3, 2025: Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed its plans for a white-ball tour to Pakistan in early 2026, marking another significant chapter in the growing cricketing partnership between the two nations.

In a virtual press conference, CA CEO Todd Greenberg expressed optimism about the upcoming tour, underlining its importance in Australia’s international calendar and the deepening cooperation with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

“I believe it will be another good tour of Pakistan. The series against Pakistan is an important part of our schedule,” Greenberg stated. “There has been good communication between Pakistan and Australia regarding both red-ball and white-ball series. We need to look for more opportunities for series, which we will definitely do.”

Reflecting on Australia’s successful 2022 tour of Pakistan — their first in over two decades — Greenberg praised the hospitality extended to the Australian team and expressed a strong desire to continue bilateral tours.

“In 2022, we toured Pakistan after a long gap, and it was a very successful tour. The Australian team received a warm welcome. It would be great if such series continue to happen.”

Greenberg also spoke about the popularity of Pakistani players among cricket fans in Australia, particularly in the Big Bash League (BBL), and expressed hope for their participation in future editions.

“There is no doubt that Pakistani players are very popular within the community. Our effort is to attract players from all over the world for the BBL,” he said.
“If leading Pakistani players come, they will definitely enjoy it here. The league will benefit greatly from these top players for their teams and franchises. I hope we will definitely attract some players for the next edition of the BBL.”

It is worth noting that Pakistan last toured Australia in November 2024 for a white-ball series. Under Mohammad Rizwan’s captaincy, the Men in Green achieved a historic 2-1 ODI series win — their first in Australia since 2002. However, Australia responded with a clean sweep in the T20I series, winning 3-0.

According to the Future Tours Programme (FTP) for 2025–2027, Australia’s next tour of Pakistan will include three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), scheduled for February–March 2026.
