Rawalpindi, June 24, 2025: At least 11 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

The operation was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as “Khwarij” in the statement. Pakistani troops swiftly engaged the militants’ hideout, resulting in the elimination of 11 terrorists and injuries to at least seven others.

During the intense exchange of fire, Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah and Lance Naik Jibran Ullah embraced martyrdom. Major Moiz, hailed as a courageous officer, had earned distinction for his leadership and bravery in numerous counter-terrorism operations.

“Major Moiz Abbas Shah fought gallantly and made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty,” the ISPR said, adding that the fallen officer was widely respected for his fearlessness and dedication to the nation.

A follow-up sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the area is completely cleared of any remaining militants. The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eliminating the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism and maintaining peace across the country.

“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve to rid the nation of the menace of terrorism,” the statement concluded.
