Islamabad, June 24, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Described by the Prime Minister’s Office as a “warm and cordial” exchange, the call covered a range of regional and bilateral matters. Prime Minister Sharif extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and congratulated the Crown Prince on the successful completion of Hajj 2025. He also thanked the Saudi leadership for their generous hospitality extended to Pakistani pilgrims.

The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s steadfast support during recent tensions with India, and reiterated Islamabad’s readiness to engage in meaningful dialogue with New Delhi on all core issues — including Jammu and Kashmir, water disputes, trade, and counterterrorism cooperation.

Turning to the worsening Iran-Israel conflict, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s serious concerns and stressed the urgent need for de-escalation and diplomacy. He emphasized the importance of resolving disputes in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, while reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He lauded Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visionary leadership and active role in promoting regional peace, referring to Saudi Arabia as both a peacemaker and a leader of the Muslim world.

The Crown Prince thanked the Prime Minister for his call and for Pakistan’s expression of solidarity during the ongoing regional crisis. He acknowledged Islamabad’s constructive role in promoting peace and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to working with regional partners to ensure stability across the Middle East.
