Islamabad, October 24, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Follow-Up Committee on Venue and Accommodation for the Council of Heads of State Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan in 2027.
During the meeting, Dar reviewed progress and preparations for the summit venue, along with available accommodation arrangements.
He directed all concerned departments and organisations to ensure the smooth and seamless conduct of the forthcoming summit.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, the foreign secretary, the interior secretary, Pakistan’s national coordinator for the SCO, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and senior officials from relevant ministries and organisations.
