Islamabad, June 27, 2025: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reaffirmed on Friday that Pakistan has always advocated for peace in the region, even in the face of unprovoked aggression.

Speaking at a Meet the Press event held at the National Press Club, Bilawal said that despite India’s larger size and greater resources, Pakistan achieved a significant and historic victory during the recent conflict.

“India is seven times larger than Pakistan and has far more resources, yet it suffered a humiliating defeat,” Bilawal said, adding that Pakistan emerged victorious both militarily and diplomatically.

Bilawal commended the role of Pakistani media during the five-day conflict, highlighting its professionalism and balanced coverage.

“The media led from the front in shaping the discourse and built its credibility during this crucial time. We are proud of our media,” he stated.

He also acknowledged Pakistan’s success on the digital battlefield, noting that the country outpaced India in social media engagement and narrative-building.

Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam incident — which India blamed on Pakistan — Bilawal rejected the accusations, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

“The Prime Minister has made it clear that Pakistan is ready for a transparent investigation,” he said.

Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, Bilawal said the country remains committed to advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people.

He criticized India for attempting to derail President Trump’s ceasefire efforts and urged both countries to act responsibly given their nuclear capabilities.

“Pakistan has behaved as a responsible nuclear state. Restraint is essential, especially when both nations are nuclear powers,” Bilawal concluded.
