Lahore, July 2, 2025: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) management, led by Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, hosted a comprehensive workshop at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Wednesday to share the league’s decade-long journey with key stakeholders. Attendees included franchise owners, title sponsor representatives, media rights holders, and commercial partners.

The session featured a detailed presentation of data and analytics that charted the league’s rapid growth since its inception. A comparative review of the ninth and tenth editions of the tournament was also shared, highlighting significant improvements in operations, fan engagement, and digital reach.

The 10th edition of the PSL — branded as PSL X — took place from April 11 to May 25, 2025, across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The season featured 34 matches and culminated in a thrilling final at a sold-out Gaddafi Stadium, where Lahore Qalandars triumphed over Quetta Gladiators, clinching their third title in four years.

Reflecting on the league’s success, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the PSL as a symbol of national pride and resilience. “The Pakistan Super League has not only evolved into a premier cricketing brand but has also stood as a beacon of unity, hope, and resilience during testing times,” he said. Naqvi credited the league’s endurance through adversity and its role in reinvigorating Pakistan’s cricketing image globally.

“From overcoming challenges to bringing international cricket back to our home grounds, PSL has consistently delivered high-quality competition and unforgettable moments. This journey belongs to our people — driven by passion, perseverance, and pride,” he added.

Naqvi also extended his gratitude to franchise owners, title sponsor HBL, players, broadcasters, commercial and security partners, and fans, acknowledging their collective role in the league’s ongoing success. “As we look ahead, PCB is fully committed to further elevating PSL into a globally competitive and inclusive tournament,” he noted.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer echoed the chairman’s sentiments, describing PSL X as a landmark celebration of ten years of cricketing excellence. “The tenth edition of the league was more than a milestone — it was a celebration of the values that define the PSL: passion, resilience, and unity,” he said.

He revealed that the 2025 edition broke numerous records, particularly in digital engagement. Live streaming views soared by an unprecedented 647 percent, while the league’s digital following surpassed 22 million. “This surge reflects changing fan behavior and the league’s ability to connect with audiences across platforms,” Naseer said.

He emphasized the PSL’s deepening roots in Pakistan’s sporting culture, noting its widespread popularity across both urban and rural demographics. “With 3.4 billion live streaming views, PSL has become a household name and a unifying force in every region of the country,” he added.

Looking ahead, Naseer expressed confidence in the league’s future and its growing international impact. “PSL is more than a tournament — it’s a movement that unites fans across continents. As we step into the next decade, we are excited to create new stories and deliver even more thrilling experiences. The best is yet to come.”

The workshop concluded on an optimistic note, with reaffirmed commitments from all stakeholders to strengthen and expand the PSL’s legacy in the years to come.
