London, July 5, 2025: Pakistan’s T20 vice-captain Shadab Khan has successfully undergone surgery on his right shoulder in the United Kingdom, the star all-rounder confirmed via social media on Sunday.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Shadab shared a post-surgery photo from his hospital bed, writing:

“Alhamdulillah, the surgery went well. Recovery and rehab up next. Request you to keep me in your prayers.”

Shadab had been struggling with persistent discomfort in his right shoulder for several months. Following medical consultations, specialists recommended surgery as the most suitable treatment.

As a result, the 25-year-old is expected to be sidelined for at least three months, ruling him out of Pakistan’s upcoming limited-overs series against Bangladesh and West Indies. His participation in the Asia Cup 2025, scheduled for September, also remains uncertain.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to issue an official statement regarding his recovery timeline or his potential availability for future fixtures.
