Islamabad, July 18, 2025: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed all departments under the Ministry of Interior to enhance coordination and streamline operations to improve service delivery and overall institutional performance.

Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad, the minister emphasized that inefficiencies caused by poor interdepartmental communication must be addressed without delay. He instructed all departments to submit reform proposals within three days, including suggestions for rule changes and structural improvements. A consolidated plan will be prepared and presented by the Federal Secretary for Interior Affairs.

Highlighting the importance of teamwork, Naqvi urged departments to leverage each other’s strengths to improve efficiency and responsiveness.

“Improved coordination is not only crucial for the internal performance of the ministry but also vital for delivering better services to the public,” he said.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, senior ministry officials, and heads of key institutions, including the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), NADRA, Islamabad Police, Passport and Immigration Department, and Cyber Crime Investigation units.

Naqvi reiterated that building synergy between departments is essential to meet public expectations and strengthen good governance.
