Attack on Chinese convoy: investigations launched to bring perpetrators to justice, Shehbaz Sharif

,Islamabad, October 07,2024- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack on a Chinese convoy in Karachi and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. In a statement released on social media on Monday, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt condolences to Chinese leaders, the people of China, and especially to the families of the victims. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that immediate investigations have been launched to identify the attackers and ensure they are brought to justice. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to protecting its Chinese friends and assured that the government will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Pakistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement, condemning the terrorist attack in the strongest terms. The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding Chinese citizens, projects, and institutions, and pledged to continue working with China against terrorist forces.
