Islamabad, August 18, 2025: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday announced that the deadline for filing income tax returns for Tax Year 2025 will not be extended, setting September 30 as the final date for submission.

According to the FBR, the returns cover the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. An “easy return form” has been introduced for individuals and associations of persons to facilitate compliance.

The FBR clarified that anyone residing in Pakistan for 183 days or more during the year is required to file a return. Salaried persons, pensioners, and other taxpayers must declare income from all sources, including property, services, dividends, and bank profits.

The return form also seeks details of withholding taxes, allowable deductions, tax credits, and reductions. Taxpayers are further required to disclose bank accounts, immovable properties, and other personal assets.
