Darwin, August 19, 2025: Chicago Kingsmen handed Pakistan Shaheens a thumping 69-run defeat in the 17th match of the Top End T20 at Marrara Cricket Ground No. 2 on Tuesday, powered by explosive half-centuries from Milind Kumar and Tajinder Singh.
Opting to bat after being invited by the Shaheens, the Kingsmen recovered from early jolts to post a daunting 206-5 in 20 overs. Milind Kumar blazed 74 off just 37 balls, hammering eight fours and three sixes, while Tajinder Singh smashed a 37-ball 58 with four boundaries and two sixes. Pakistan-born Shayan Jahangir added a handy 30 off 25 balls.
For the Shaheens, Mohammad Wasim picked up 2-57, but struggled for control, while Shahid Aziz (1-27) and Saad Masood (1-39) chipped in with a wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan Shaheens faltered to 137-8, with only Yasir Khan (38), Irfan Khan (24) and Shahid Aziz (24) showing some resistance. Khawaja Nafay, Abdul Samad and Mohammad Faiq all fell cheaply, while several others failed to reach double figures.
Scott Kuggeleijn ripped through the top order with 3-19, while Ehsan Adil claimed 2-20. Ghulam Muddasar, Hassan Khan and Umer Khan took a wicket apiece as the Shaheens never looked in the chase.
The defeat leaves Pakistan Shaheens with much to ponder as they continue their Top End T20 campaign.
