Islamabad, August 22, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), which approved the establishment of the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project at an estimated cost of Rs212 billion.
According to a statement from the DPM’s Office, the landmark initiative will set up a state-of-the-art tertiary care hospital equipped with advanced medical, surgical, and research facilities, significantly strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure.
While granting approval, ECNEC also directed the formation of a dedicated committee to finalize financing arrangements and ensure timely completion of the project.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Ministers for Planning and Finance, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, provincial ministers, and senior officials from the Cabinet Division, Planning, Finance, Health, and the Economic Affairs Division.
