Islamabad, August 22, 2025: Chinese Foreign Minister and Member of the Communist Party of China’s Politburo Wang Yi on Friday wrapped up his three-day official visit to Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar saw him off at the airport, along with senior government officials, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Beijing, and the Chinese Ambassador. Children lined the red carpet waving the flags of both countries to bid farewell to the visiting dignitary.

During his stay, Wang Yi and Ishaq Dar co-chaired the 6th Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad, where both sides reaffirmed that their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” was crucial for regional peace, stability, and the shared prosperity of the two nations.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also called on President Asif Ali Zardari, who described Pakistan and China as “iron brothers and time-tested friends,” stressing that the partnership remained the cornerstone of Islamabad’s foreign policy.

In his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Premier expressed deep appreciation for Beijing’s consistent support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national development.

Before departing, Wang Yi also met Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The two sides discussed regional security, counterterrorism, and matters of mutual interest, reaffirming their resolve to strengthen defense and security cooperation.
