Asia Cup 2025 final: Kuldeep’s brilliance restricts Pakistan to modest 146

Dubai, September 28, 2025: Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav starred with a four-wicket haul as India bowled out Pakistan for a modest 146 in 19.1 overs in the final of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Opting to field first, India captain Suryakumar Yadav’s decision paid off after his bowlers staged a remarkable comeback following a strong Pakistani start.

Pakistan’s opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave the Green Shirts a flying start, putting up 84 runs inside 10 overs. Farhan top-scored with a fluent 57 off 38 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes, before Varun Chakravarthy dismissed him at deep mid-wicket.

Fakhar continued with a steady 46 off 35 balls, laced with two sixes and two fours. However, once Saim Ayub (14 off 11) fell to Kuldeep in the 13th over, Pakistan’s innings unraveled. The middle order collapsed, losing six wickets for just 50 runs as India’s bowlers tightened their grip.

Kuldeep was the chief destroyer, returning figures of 4 for 30, while Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, and Varun Chakravarthy chipped in with two wickets each.

The collapse left Pakistan’s innings in tatters, as they slipped from a commanding 113/2 to being bundled out for 146 — a total widely seen as below par in Dubai conditions.
