Lahore, October 26, 2025: The Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) has formally announced its candidates for the upcoming by-elections across several National and Provincial Assembly constituencies in Punjab, marking a key step in the party’s bid to consolidate its political position ahead of crucial electoral contests.
According to the official announcement, Bilal Badr Chaudhry has been awarded the PML-N ticket for NA-96, while Raja Danyal Riaz will contest from NA-104. Similarly, senior politician Muhammad Tufail Jutt has been nominated for NA-143, reflecting the party’s strategy to field seasoned and well-connected candidates in key battleground constituencies.
For the Punjab Assembly, Muhammad Hanif Jutt has been selected for PP-203, and Azad Ali Tabassum will represent the party in PP-98. The leadership said the selections were made after detailed consultations with local leaders and regional committees, aiming to maintain a balance between experienced figures and emerging voices within the party ranks.
Party insiders said the list was finalized after a careful assessment of each constituency’s political dynamics, voter behavior, and organizational strength. The move is part of PML-N’s broader strategy to reclaim lost ground and rebuild electoral momentum in Punjab, particularly in constituencies where competition from rival alliances is expected to be intense.
The by-elections are widely viewed as a litmus test for the province’s shifting political landscape, with results likely to signal emerging voter trends ahead of the next general elections. PML-N leaders believe that these contests will not only gauge the party’s popularity but also reinvigorate its grassroots campaign network.
Party sources confirmed that the nominated candidates will formally launch their election campaigns in the coming days with active backing from the central and provincial leadership, focusing on the party’s record of governance and its agenda for economic recovery and public welfare.
