Islamabad, October 21,2024- President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the 26th Constitutional Amendment bill. The Gazette notification for the amendment has also been issued following the President’s approval. A number Parliamentarians attended the signing ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadar on Monday.
It is noteworthy that after Senate approval, the National Assembly passed the 26th Constitutional Amendment in a session last night. The Speaker of the National Assembly announced that 225 members voted in favor of the amendment, while 12 voted against it.
