Brussels, November 21, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday met Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, Arun Hemachandra, on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum being held in Brussels from November 20–21.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to continue close collaboration at the bilateral and multilateral levels. They underscored the importance of further strengthening the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka through high-level exchanges.
The two sides emphasized the need to build on the deep goodwill between the two countries by expanding cooperation across diverse fields, including trade and investment, tourism, culture, education, defence, agriculture and human resource development.
DPM Dar, Sri Lankan minister agree to advance bilateral cooperation
Separately, DPM Dar met the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro. The two sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
Both countries expressed satisfaction over their ongoing collaboration at the United Nations and other multilateral fora, particularly through reciprocal support for each other’s candidatures. They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close and continued engagement.
