Mumbai, October 22,2024- Renowned Indian actress Kriti Sanon has admitted that she faced challenges being labelled as Tiger Shroff’s heroine and that it took her years to shake off that tag.
The stunning actress, who has completed a decade in the Bollywood film industry, began her career with the film Heropanti and has steadily increased her fanbase with her performances.
In a recent interview, Kriti reflected on how she was primarily identified as Tiger Shroff’s heroine in her early days. She stated, “I didn’t take long to make my film successful. At the time of Heropanti, although people knew Tiger, the director and producer presented the film as a launch for two new faces. So, I got the chance to become one of Bollywood’s best actresses through songs and performances.”
Kriti mentioned that after some time, people would recognize her and say, “Oh, she’s the one from Tiger’s film.” Continuing her thoughts, she explained, “If you’re not a film’s lead, it takes time for your name and face to be etched in people’s minds.”
She recounted a humorous anecdote, sharing that the children of director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, while working on Bareilly Ki Barfi, would call her “Tiger’s Didi.” This made her realize that she needed to work twice as hard to establish her identity as an actress.
