London, December 9, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday revealed that investors displayed keen interest in acquiring the ownership rights of two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises during a roadshow held at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Sunday.

The PCB said the roadshow attracted “unprecedented attention” at the iconic venue, widely regarded as the home of cricket, with a large number of investors attending and expressing interest in the franchises.

“PSL 11 has taken flight to new heights, capturing unprecedented attention in the home of cricket,” the PCB said in a statement. “For the first time in history, a highly successful PSL roadshow was organised at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, drawing significant investor interest in two new teams.”

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the strong investor interest as a positive development for the league, calling it a milestone that brings honour to both the PCB and Pakistan. “The strong investor interest in acquiring two PSL 11 teams is extremely positive and encouraging,” Naqvi said. “PCB is determined to transform PSL into a major international brand. This milestone is not only an achievement for PCB but also an honour for a peaceful and sports-loving Pakistan.”

The PSL, which began in 2016 with five franchises, is set to expand further in its 11th edition with the addition of two new teams next year. This marks the league’s first major restructuring in seven years, bringing the total number of franchises to eight.
