Islamabad, Dec 13, 2025: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday underscored the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, rooted in shared history, strong institutional linkages, and mutual respect. He also highlighted the dynamic role of the British Pakistani diaspora as a vital bridge between the two countries.
The Prime Minister made these remarks during a meeting with the Right Honourable Baroness Jenny Chapman, the UK’s Minister of State for International Development and Africa, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, according to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including development cooperation, climate resilience, economic engagement, and broader regional issues. They reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening collaboration in these key areas.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the visit as an important opportunity to advance bilateral dialogue and expressed confidence that it would contribute to strengthening the partnership between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
