Karachi, December 17, 2025: Former Pakistan captain and batting great Javed Miandad was admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Karachi on Wednesday after experiencing chest pain. The 68-year-old cricketing icon was discharged the same day following a thorough examination, including angiography, with doctors confirming he is in good health.
Speaking from the hospital, Miandad expressed relief and gratitude: “I am feeling much better. I am thankful for the facilities at NICVD. With God’s grace and the nation’s prayers, my health will continue to improve.”
The news initially sparked concern among fans and the cricketing community, but Miandad’s swift recovery brought reassurance. Miandad, celebrated for his aggressive batting and key contributions to Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup triumph, continues to hold a legendary status in cricket.
