Islamabad, December 20, 2025: Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir on Saturday called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to a press release issued by the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Tajik ambassador thanked the deputy prime minister for his support in organizing the first Tajik Culture Week in Pakistan, terming it an important step in promoting people-to-people contacts.
During the meeting, Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong desire to enhance multifaceted cooperation with Tajikistan. He said he looked forward to a number of high-level engagements between the two sides in 2026.
The deputy prime minister also underscored the importance of closer cooperation between the private sectors of Pakistan and Tajikistan, with the aim of boosting bilateral trade to $500 million.
