Ishaq Dar holds call with Turkish counterpart on regional issues

Islamabad, December 21, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday held separate telephonic conversations with the foreign ministers of Türkiye and Iran, focusing on bilateral relations and the evolving regional and international situation.

In his call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the two leaders reviewed key aspects of Pakistan-Türkiye relations and exchanged views on regional and global developments, with particular emphasis on the latest situation in Palestine and Gaza. They stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity and people-to-people exchanges, and reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting regional peace, stability and sustainable development.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss Pakistan-Iran bilateral ties and the broader regional landscape. According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, both leaders reviewed ongoing cooperation across multiple sectors and exchanged views on important regional developments. The conversation underscored the need to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest in the context of shifting regional dynamics.
