Rawalpindi, December 26, 2025: Security forces on Wednesday conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Kohlu district of Balochistan, killing five terrorists linked to the Indian-backed group Fitna al Hindustan, according to an official statement.
The operation was launched on December 25 after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorist hideout, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, five Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralised.
A cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the killed militants. According to the statement, the terrorists were actively involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region.
Following the operation, sanitisation activities are under way to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining militants. Authorities said the action was part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The statement reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to continuing operations at full pace to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
