Islamabad, December 29, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, who called on him at the Foreign Office and conveyed season’s greetings and best wishes for the New Year on behalf of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Reciprocating the New Year’s greetings, Senator Ishaq Dar appreciated China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national development. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to its all-weather friendship with China.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for China on all core issues, including strict adherence to the One-China Principle. He emphasized that Pakistan recognizes the People’s Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing all of China and considers Taiwan an inalienable part of Chinese territory.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the overall state of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the continued strength of Pakistan–China ties. They agreed that the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and serves as an important anchor for regional peace, stability, and security.

The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across political, economic, and strategic domains in the coming year.
