Kazakh Ambassador calls for enhanced legal cooperation during meeting with SCBA President

Islamabad, December 30, 2025: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Y. Kistafin, on Tuesday met with the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) of Pakistan, Mr. Haroon Ur Rashed, along with members of the association, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the legal field.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin highlighted ongoing efforts to expand overall Pakistan–Kazakhstan relations and underscored the need to enhance collaboration between the two countries’ legal communities. He proposed closer cooperation through exchanges of experience, professional interaction, and comparative study of the legal systems of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

Mr. Haroon Ur Rashed welcomed the proposals put forward by the Kazakh side and stressed the importance of developing stronger institutional links between legal professionals of both countries. He expressed support for initiatives aimed at fostering mutual understanding and cooperation in the legal domain.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize delegation visits in 2026 and to begin preparing the necessary documentation for formal agreements to further strengthen legal cooperation.
