Dar, Saudi leaders reaffirm commitment to expand Pakistan–Saudi cooperation

Islamabad, December 31, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and the Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk region, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, have reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen Pakistan–Saudi Arabia cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

According to official sources, Senator Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Prince Fahd, who conveyed seasonal greetings and extended his best wishes for the New Year. The deputy prime minister warmly reciprocated the greetings, reflecting the cordial nature of bilateral ties.

Recalling their positive past engagements, Prince Fahd also invited Senator Dar to visit Tabuk. The deputy prime minister appreciated the Saudi governor’s personal interest and efforts in fostering and promoting Pakistan–Saudi relations.

Separately, a day earlier, Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and recent diplomatic developments.

Official details said that both sides exchanged views on key regional and international issues, underscoring the importance Islamabad and Riyadh attach to close consultation and coordination, particularly amid heightened regional dynamics.

During the call, Senator Dar extended New Year greetings to the Saudi foreign minister, which were warmly reciprocated by Prince Faisal bin Farhan, highlighting the longstanding and friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.

The deputy prime minister expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations, noting steady progress in multiple areas of cooperation. He emphasized the need to maintain this momentum through continued high-level diplomatic engagement and mutual understanding.
