Islamabad, January 19, 2026: The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Senate met at the Parliament House on Monday to review the legislative agenda for the 357th Session of the Upper House.
The meeting was presided over by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who led detailed discussions on the legislative business scheduled to be taken up during the ongoing session. In addition to legislative matters, the session will also include deliberations on the current national and international situation.
The BAC decided that the 357th Session of the Senate is likely to continue until January 27, 2026.
The meeting was attended by Senators Sherry Rehman, Syed Ali Zafar, Jan Muhammad, Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Kamil Ali Agha, Saleem Mandviwalla, Kamran Murtaza and Amir Waliuddin Chishti. Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider were also present.
During the meeting, the Secretary Senate briefed the Committee on the legislative business proposed to be transacted during the current session.
