Washington, D.C., January 23, 2026: Senator Saleem Mandviwalla represented Pakistan in a series of parliamentary and community engagements in the United States, aimed at strengthening legislative-level interaction and sustained dialogue between the two countries.

As part of the visit, a congressional session was held on January 22, 2026, at the Rayburn House Office Building, U.S. Congress. The session was hosted by Dr. Gholam Mujtaba, Chairman of the Pakistan Policy Institute USA (PPI-USA), with the support of Congressman Al Green. It featured interactions with members of the U.S. Congress, including Congressman Al Green of Texas, Congressman Ron Estes of Kansas, and Congressman Tom Suozzi.

Participants underscored the importance of maintaining regular engagement with Pakistan through parliamentary and institutional channels. Congressman Ron Estes delivered the keynote remarks, emphasizing the value of dialogue and cooperation in addressing shared challenges.

The discussions took place against a complex regional backdrop, highlighting Pakistan’s relevance and role in regional and international affairs. Key areas of focus included enhancing legislative communication, promoting strategic stability, encouraging economic engagement, and acknowledging the constructive role of the Pakistani-American diaspora in strengthening bilateral relations.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s continued emphasis on parliamentary diplomacy and its commitment to constructive, multi-level engagement with the United States.
