Lahore, January 31, 2026: Shake Films has officially unveiled the motion poster of the much-anticipated Pakistani Punjabi action film BULLAH, sparking excitement among film fans and industry insiders ahead of its nationwide Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 release.
Headlined by veteran superstar Shaan Shahid, the big-ticket production also stars Mona Liza, Naeema Butt, Adnan Butt, Ali Josh, Maham Mirza, and Asif Khan. The film is being distributed by HKC Entertainment.
One of the film’s major highlights is the long-awaited on-screen reunion of Shaan Shahid and Saleem Sheikh—an iconic duo returning together after nearly three decades, a moment eagerly anticipated by Pakistani cinema lovers.
The motion poster offers a powerful first glimpse into BULLAH’s intense tone and large visual scale, setting the stage for its official teaser launch. The launch event was held on January 30, 2026, at CineStar, Xinhua Mall, Lahore, and was attended by the film’s cast and crew along with members of the media and entertainment fraternity.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shoaib Khan, BULLAH tells the story of a modern-day hero who rises against injustice, deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual landscape of Punjab. Blending high-octane action with emotional depth, the film explores themes of courage, resistance, faith, and the enduring struggle between oppression and righteousness.
“BULLAH is a labour of love and hard work,” director Shoaib Khan said. “It speaks to a global audience by addressing universal themes of oppression, resistance, faith, and dignity, while remaining deeply grounded in Punjabi culture.”
Shaan Shahid, who plays the titular role, described the film as more than just entertainment. “BULLAH is not just a film—it’s a voice. It represents the kind of cinema we need right now: fearless, meaningful, and grounded in truth. It’s a story that reminds us of the power of our culture and faith and stays with you long after the screen fades to black,” he said.
Producer Mr. Vohra expressed confidence in the film’s impact, stating that BULLAH showcases both the commercial potential and cultural strength of Punjabi cinema. “We believe this film will not only captivate audiences but also pave the way for a new wave of high-quality, locally rooted productions, strengthening the future of Pakistani cinema,” he said.
Adding further weight to the project, BULLAH is written by legendary screenwriter Nasir Adeeb, whose iconic contributions have shaped South Asian cinema for decades. With a formidable creative team and a powerful narrative, BULLAH is poised to be one of the most talked-about cinematic releases of 2026, promising a gripping blend of mass appeal, strong performances, and culturally resonant storytelling.
