Chairman Senate congratulates Pakistan cricket team on historic series victory against Australia

Islamabad, January 31,2026: Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, has extended warm congratulations to the Pakistan national T20 cricket team on their outstanding series victory against Australia. He praised the players for delivering an exceptional performance and securing a memorable win after seven years against a strong Australian side.

The Chairman Senate stated that the national team displayed remarkable skill, discipline and teamwork throughout the series. By winning the three-match T20 series with a convincing 2–0 margin, Pakistan not only outplayed Australia but also demonstrated its growing strength and consistency in international cricket.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani lauded the collective efforts of the players, coaching staff and team management, saying that the victory is a result of hard work, dedication and effective planning. He remarked that this achievement is a source of pride and happiness for the entire nation.

Expressing optimism for the future, the Chairman Senate said he hoped the national T20 team would maintain this winning momentum and continue to perform with the same passion and determination. He voiced confidence that Pakistan would showcase a strong performance in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup and bring further glory to the country by winning the tournament.

He concluded by saying that the whole nation stands united behind the national team and wishes them continued success in future international competitions.
