UNESCO DG Khalid El-Enany calls on Ishaq Dar

Islamabad, February 2, 2026: Director-General of UNESCO, Dr. Khalid El-Enany, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday, marking his first bilateral visit since assuming office.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Dr. El-Enany on his election as Director-General of UNESCO and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with him to advance the organization’s core objectives. He expressed Pakistan’s strong support for UNESCO’s initiatives and underscored the importance of continued cooperation in the areas of education, culture, and multilateral engagement.

The meeting reflected Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with UNESCO and contributing actively to the organization’s global mandate.
