Dar chairs review meeting on preparations for 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women

Islamabad, February 12, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparations for the 9th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan is scheduled to host in 2026.

The meeting evaluated progress on organizational matters and stressed the importance of timely coordination to ensure the successful hosting of the conference. Senator Dar directed all relevant ministries and stakeholders to finalize logistical arrangements and thematic priorities in close collaboration with the OIC Secretariat.

The session was attended by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, and the Secretaries of the Cabinet and Human Rights Divisions. Senior officials from the Finance and Interior ministries, along with representatives from other concerned departments, were also present.
