Islamabad, February 12, 2026: Ambassador of Yemen to Pakistan, Muhammad Al-Ashbi, met with the Coordinator General of the Standing Committee for Science and Technology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMISTIC) to discuss strengthening capacity-building cooperation, with a focus on health, medical sectors, and academic research.

During the meeting, both sides explored ways to expand collaboration, enhance competencies, promote experience-sharing, and support science and technology initiatives of mutual interest. Discussions highlighted opportunities to advance joint programs and elevate cooperation to broader horizons in areas of education, research, and technical training.

The Ambassador appreciated COMISTIC’s efforts, particularly the Yemen Program launched in February 2023 in collaboration with Pakistani academic institutions, which provides training courses and qualification activities for capacity building. Both sides praised the level of coordination and the positive outcomes achieved through these joint initiatives.
