Karachi, February 13, 2026: A landmark development in Danish-Pakistani business relations took place in Karachi as International Cargo Terminals Managing Director Asim Saeed Khan and Bahria Transshipment Hub of Pakistan CEO Commodore (Retd.) Shahab Qamar signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at strengthening maritime and logistics collaboration.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Maja Derrous Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, highlighting the growing commercial engagement between the two nations.
On the occasion, International Cargo Terminals also announced the expansion of its state-of-the-art Northern Bypass Terminal in Karachi. The upgraded facility is expected to enhance inland capacity, ease port congestion, and streamline cargo movement across key terminals, contributing to greater operational efficiency.
ICT operates as a subsidiary of Scan-Group A/S, a Denmark-based global shipping and logistics company, reflecting deepening foreign investment in Pakistan’s maritime sector.
Business leaders described the agreement as a significant step toward advancing trade, improving regional connectivity, and fostering long-term bilateral economic growth between Denmark and Pakistan.
