Islamabad, February 17,2026: The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan celebrated the Lunar New Year by sharing the festive spirit with the local community through a series of events in Islamabad, distributing gifts among children and families. The activities aimed to promote happiness, unity, and the enduring message of Pakistan-China friendship.

The first ceremony was held at Sweet Home Islamabad, where special gifts were distributed among children. The joy on the children’s faces was evident, and organizers described the initiative as a heartfelt expression of mutual affection and goodwill at the people-to-people level between the two countries.

A second event took place at the Children’s Ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Gifts distributed among children undergoing treatment included badges adorned with the flags of Pakistan and China, panda and horse toys, children’s storybooks, and other presents. The children and their families appreciated the gesture and thanked the Chinese Embassy for its expression of solidarity.

Later, gifts were also distributed to children and women at various restaurants and parks in the F-11 sector. Members of the public described the initiative as a beautiful example of strengthening people-to-people ties between the two nations.

The Lunar New Year celebrations not only spread joy but also further reinforced the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and China.
