Islamabad, October 30, 2024 – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s actions obstructing the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

During his official two-day visit to Saudi Arabia for the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, the prime minister shared his concerns on his X timeline, stating that by blocking critical relief aid to millions of vulnerable Palestinians, Israel is committing a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter.

He called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for these actions. In his address at the FII conference on Tuesday, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that global progress and prosperity remain unattainable without peace in Gaza and an immediate end to the ongoing violence. He underscored the urgent need for stability, noting that without it, the world cannot achieve its shared goals for development and peace.
