Portugal Envoy calls on Law Minister

Islamabad, February 20,2026: Portuguese Ambassador to Pakistan Frederico Silva made a courtesy call with Federal Minister for Law and Justice & Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar at the Ministry of Law and Justice.

Both sides discussed avenues of reaffirming the bilateral cooperation, particularly in strengthening collaboration on legal matters and judiciary organizations, and specifically also in regard to legal reforms to drug consumption and regulatory challenges. This engagement reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Portugal to deepen bilateral ties, promote rule of law, effective legal governance and Human Rights.

Ambassador Frederico Silva also presented to the Federal Minister for Law and Justice & Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, his farewell compliments as his official tenure in Pakistan is coming to an end.
