Pak-Saudi FMs discuss Pakistan-Afghanistan border situation

Islamabad, February 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to discuss recent regional developments, including the situation along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Dar briefed his Saudi counterpart on Pakistan’s firm response to what he described as unprovoked Afghan aggression. He said the Pakistan Armed Forces carried out successful and targeted operations to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of peace and stability in the region and agreed to remain closely engaged as the situation evolves.

The conversation underscored the close coordination between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on regional security and diplomatic issues.
