Islamabad, February 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments, particularly the evolving situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Dar underscored that Pakistan had responded befittingly to what he described as unprovoked Afghan aggression. He said the Pakistan Armed Forces conducted successful air operations under Operation Ghazb lil Haq to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Both foreign ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and agreed to remain closely engaged as developments continue to unfold.

The call reflected the close coordination between Turkey and Pakistan on regional security and diplomatic matters, the statement added.
