Islamabad, October 31, 2024-The Hindu community living across the country is celebrating Diwali with religious zeal and fervor today. Special sermons have been arranged in Hindu temples across the country.

To mark the day the Hindu community lights earthen lamp to their religious ritual of commemorating return of Lord Rama.

This festival is celebrated to memorize the sacrifices of Shree Ram Chandar Jee who spent almost fourteen years in extradition in forests and preached Hinduism.

In his message, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended warm greetings to all the members of Hindu community across Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of Diwali.

He said Diwali, the festival of lights, symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair.

He paid tribute to the valuable contributions of the vibrant Hindu community in Pakistan, whose role in country’s socio-economic and political spheres continues to strengthen the nation.

Shehbaz Sharif said it is a matter of immense pleasure to see members of the Hindu and other minority communities working alongside their Muslims for the progress of the country, truly in line with the vision of Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
