Dhaka, March 13,2026: Half-centuries from Maaz Sadaqat and captain Salman Ali Agha powered Pakistan national cricket team to a competitive total, setting a 275-run target for Bangladesh national cricket team in the second One-Day International of the three-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Friday.

After being put in to bat by Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Pakistan got off to a flying start as openers Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat added 103 runs in just 77 deliveries, putting the visitors firmly in control.

Miraz eventually broke the opening stand by dismissing Maaz, who top-scored for Pakistan with a blistering 75 off 46 balls, smashing six fours and five sixes.

Pakistan then suffered quick setbacks as Farhan and Shamyl Hussain were dismissed by Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana respectively, reducing the tourists to 122/3 in 19.3 overs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha then joined wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan at the crease, and the pair rebuilt the innings with a 109-run partnership for the fourth wicket, putting Pakistan back in a commanding position.

The partnership ended in unusual circumstances when Agha was run out by Miraz while helping him retrieve the ball, standing just outside the crease at the non-striker’s end. The Pakistan captain departed after scoring 64 off 62 deliveries, hitting seven fours and two sixes.

Rizwan was dismissed in the same over after contributing 44 runs off 59 balls, triggering a late collapse as Pakistan lost their remaining five wickets for just 43 runs, falling short of the 300-run mark that had earlier appeared within reach.

For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Miraz claimed two. Nahid Rana, Mustafizur Rahman, and Taskin Ahmed picked up one wicket each.

Bangladesh currently lead the three-match series 1–0 after winning the first ODI by eight wickets with 209 balls to spare. The third and final match will also be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on March 15.
