Tajik Envoy, Pakistan’s SCO coordinator discuss bilateral ties and regional cooperation

Islamabad, April 6, 2026: Ambassador of the Tajikistan to Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, met with Pakistan’s National Coordinator for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, Naeem Sabir Khan, to discuss bilateral relations and avenues for enhanced cooperation within the regional bloc.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed key aspects of Tajikistan–Pakistan relations and explored ways to strengthen collaboration under the SCO framework.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation across political, economic, and security domains, with both sides emphasizing the need for closer coordination on shared priorities.

The participants also highlighted the importance of aligning positions, implementing joint initiatives, and effectively utilizing existing opportunities within the SCO to promote regional stability and development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued constructive dialogue and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation within the SCO framework.
