Senate panel finalizes agenda for 360th session, expresses condolences to Sherry Rehman

Islamabad, April 7, 2026: The House Business Advisory Committee (HBAC) of the Senate on Tuesday finalized the legislative agenda for the 360th session, which is expected to continue until April 17, during a meeting held at Parliament House.

The session of the committee was chaired by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who led detailed discussions on the legislative business to be taken up during the ongoing session. In addition to lawmaking, the Senate will also deliberate on key national and international issues.

The committee decided that alongside legislative proceedings, members would engage in debates on the prevailing political, economic, and global developments.

During the meeting, members expressed solidarity with Sherry Rehman over the demise of her daughter. The participants offered heartfelt condolences and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul, as well as strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan, Rana Sanaullah Khan, and several senators including Raja Nasir Abbas, Manzoor Ahmad, Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Moulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Amir Walli ud Din Chishti, Kamil Ali Agha, Saleem Mandviwalla, Anusha Rehman, Jan Muhammad, and Ali Zafar.

Federal ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar (Law and Justice) and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry (Parliamentary Affairs) also attended the session, along with Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider, who briefed the committee on the legislative business schedule.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on ensuring a productive and comprehensive session addressing both legislative priorities and pressing national concerns.
