Islamabad, April 23, 2026: High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan, Tarik Ali Khan, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional peace.
During the meeting, the Canadian envoy conveyed Ottawa’s appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating diplomatic engagement aimed at advancing peace and stability in the region.
Senator Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued role in promoting dialogue and lasting peace, both regionally and globally. He also appreciated the growing frequency of high-level interactions between the two countries.
Reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to deepening ties with Canada, the foreign minister stressed the importance of expanding cooperation across diverse sectors, including trade, investment, and people-to-people linkages.
The meeting reflects the steady momentum in Pakistan–Canada relations, as both countries seek to enhance collaboration while supporting broader diplomatic initiatives for regional stability.
