Islamabad, April 27, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand to discuss the evolving regional situation and avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region and ongoing efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
During the conversation, Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as key tools for resolving regional challenges.
Both sides also reviewed Pakistan-Canada relations, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, agriculture, and other sectors. They underscored the importance of high-level exchanges to further deepen bilateral ties.
The interaction reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Ottawa on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
