Islamabad, May 1, 2026: Chairperson of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority Ambreen Jan called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the PEMRA chairperson congratulated the Deputy Prime Minister and the MoFA team for their role in mediation and facilitation efforts during regional developments aimed at promoting peace and stability in the wider region.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar thanked the chairperson for her remarks and highlighted the importance of a responsible, professional and ethical media landscape in shaping informed public discourse.

He stressed that constructive reporting and adherence to professional standards play a key role in strengthening public understanding of national and regional issues.

The deputy prime minister also expressed confidence in PEMRA’s ongoing efforts to promote professionalism and encourage best practices within the electronic media sector.
