Islamabad, May 3, 2026: Members of the National Lobbying Delegation for Minority Rights (NLD), including Sheheryar Shamas, Jennifer Jag Jivan and Manoj Kumar, met minority parliamentarian Isphanyar Bhandara as part of their ongoing engagement with lawmakers on issues related to minority rights in Pakistan.

The NLD, described as a cross-provincial platform of concerned minority citizens, has been actively engaging legislators, institutions, and civil society organisations to strengthen equal citizenship rights guaranteed under the Constitution of Pakistan.

During the meeting, the delegation presented its proposed “Caste Based Bill” and sought feedback from Isphanyar Bhandara on the proposed legislation.

The delegation also requested his support in taking the bill to the Minority Caucus and subsequently to Parliament for further consideration.

According to the delegation, Isphanyar Bhandara appreciated the initiative and assured the participants of his full support for efforts aimed at protecting minority rights and promoting equality.
